Moon Jar #1

A one-of-a-kind sculptural ceramic Moon Jar inspired by eroded cliffs, mineral formations, and flowing volcanic textures. Handbuilt from richly textured stoneware clay, this piece combines raw earthy surfaces with cascading layers of cream, ash, moss, and soft blue glazes that melt and crystallize during firing, creating organic patterns impossible to replicate.

The heavily textured upper surface contrasts with the grounded matte clay body, giving the vessel a strong architectural presence while still feeling deeply natural and tactile. From every angle, new details emerge — like mineral deposits, roots, lava flows, or ancient stone weathered by water and time.

This piece works beautifully as a standalone sculptural object, but can also be used as functional vase.

Because of the expressive firing process, the surface contains intentional irregularities, drips, craters, and variations that make this work entirely unique.
